Recipe type: Soup
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 2 c. water
- 1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
- 4 carrots, chopped fine
- 2 bay leaves
- ½ tsp. thyme
- 8 tbsp. pot barley
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 (10 oz.) cans consomme soup
- 1 (28 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
- 3 stalks celery, chopped fine
- Pepper to taste
- Brown meat and onions, and drain well. combine all ingredients in large kettle.
- Simmer, covered for at least 2 hours or all day.
