Recipe type: Canning
- 5 c. smashed fresh strawberries
- 1 box of pectin
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 7 c. sugar
- Combine berries, butter and pectin in a saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil, that you can't stir down. Add sugar. Bring back to a boil that can't be stirred down. Stir for 1 minute. Take off heat and ladle into sterilized jars. Put lids and rings on. Flip upside down for 12 minute. Turn over and let them cool. Makes 4 or 5 pints jars.
